Shearing
Shearing at LYH Steel is a precision cutting service transforming mill-edge coils into accurately sized flat plates. We source mother coils directly from tier-1 mills to ensure consistent origin, then flatten, shear, and trim to customer specifications with burr-free edges. After shearing, we apply interleaving paper and protective film, then expertly package and load plates into containers for secure delivery to your port of choice.
Direct Sourcing & Coil Preparation
All our stainless steel coils ship straight from first-tier mills such as TISCO, Baosteel, POSCO, and Tsingshan to our warehouse, guaranteeing origin consistency and traceability.
Before shearing, coils pass through leveling mills to achieve flatness and remove any camber or bow, ensuring a uniform sheet for precise cutting.
Precision Shearing Service
Shearing is a clean-cut process using high-strength blades to slice flat metal sheets without generating chips or burrs.
We remove head and tail scrap—typically around 200–300 mm at each end—to eliminate mill-edge imperfections and discard any unusable metal.
Our guillotine shear and CNC-controlled blades deliver exact plate dimensions, with edges free of burrs and roughness for immediate use in fabrication.
Surface Protection
To prevent scratches and contamination, we insert chemically controlled interleaving paper between each plate, offering high tear resistance and purity.
We also apply removable protective films—such as PVC masking—to shield surfaces during handling and transport, ensuring plates arrive pristine.
